Key accomplishments
Built a European finance function from scratch for a Nasdaq listed biopharma company covering six entities, leading the first group and statutory audits under IFRS and setting up the SOX control framework
Managed a $200m corporate investment portfolio: identified a 20-year duration risk in bond holdings and reduced it while retaining 90% of the interest yield
Recovered €200k in VAT through a self-initiated and led review, implementing new controls that save more than €50k a year
Gave the Board 13-week cashflow visibility at a private equity-backed group, covering 15+ banks and 130+ accounts, and enforced customer rebates at the correct contract threshold, protecting €240k of margin
Ran an ERP rollout and redesigned the group chart of accounts, cutting manual journals by 30% and taking two days off month-end close
